Old Saint Michaels is located close to the heart of the historic market town of Braintree in Essex. Antiques are a local specialty as you would expect from the home of the famous “Lovejoy” TV series. If you are searching for something more unusual, the specialist shops of Braintree, Coggeshall and Halstead offer an excellent hunting ground. Braintree’s proximity to parkland and several primary and secondary schools make it an excellent choice for families and people who desire a better quality of life.

Getting out and about and commuting to work are both easy. Regular services run from Braintree station to London Liverpool St. in just over an hour, and there is a good local bus service. By road, the A131 via the A130 links to the A12 Trunk Road and to the M25 at Junction 28. The new A120 links to Stansted Airport which is 12 miles away.
